Trainer Spotlight: Amanda Butler

Where are you originally from?

I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay where my dad was stationed in the military and spent a few years in San Diego, CA but the majority of my life was spent in Warrensburg, MO.

What inspired you to become a trainer?

My passion for health and wellness initially pushed me to become a spin instructor three years ago. It is so rewarding to help people break out of their comfort zones - it's a constant motivator.

What is one goal you would like to accomplish during your lifetime?

Aside from fitness, another passion of mine is travel. I lived abroad in Bangkok, Thailand so having the ability to travel to as many countries as possible for the rest of my life would be the ultimate accomplishment.

If you had to describe yourself using three words, it would be?

What can people expect when they come to your class?

One thing I hate is a boring and low-energy workout – I will make sure the hip hop & electronic music is just as good as the killer workout so you can power through and push yourself beyond your limits. Don’t expect to show up and be mediocre – work hard and show up for yourself!
