Where are you originally from?
I grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota – a suburb of Minneapolis. After college, I came to Los Angeles to attend graduate school at USC (Fight On!), then moved to Chicago to work on The Oprah Winfrey Show. I’ve been back in Los Angeles for five years and now live in Sherman Oaks with my husband and 2 rescue pups (you can meet them on my insta page – I post waaaay too many pics of them, but I think they’re pretty cute).
What inspired you to become a trainer?
I’ve been a dancer nearly all of my life, dancing competitively through high school and college and dancing with the NBA for 5 years. After hanging up my dance shoes, I fell in love with group fitness. Finding communities of people who love to sweat, work hard and improve their inner and outer selves inspired me to become a trainer.
What is one goal you would like to accomplish during your lifetime?
Only ONE goal?!?! Impossible. I’m setting new goals all day, every day.
(But if you really pressed me, I’d say that I want to travel the world, adopt 100 more rescue dogs, spend a summer sailing in Greece, learn how to make sushi, compete in a triathlon, practice yoga in Bali, and write a super successful horror movie)
If you had to describe yourself using three words, it would be…
Energetic, tenacious, fun
What can people expect when they come to your class?
When you’re in my class, you can expect a killer playlist (with current high energy hits, as well as fun throwbacks for my high school self). I’m going to push you to add on some speed on the tread and go a little heavier on the floor. I guarantee you’ll leave sweatier, stronger, happier and more confident than when you walked through the Burn 60 doors.
