Where are you originally from?
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California.
What inspired you to become a trainer?
I was inspired to become a trainer because I enjoy helping people do the things they love. Whether it be running a 5k, playing soccer, cycling up a mountain, or even having the energy to keep up with your kids, being in shape is a great way to make all aspects of life more enjoyable. I was lucky enough to receive a great education in fitness through my time running track, playing rugby, and competing in triathlons, and I want to share the knowledge I’ve acquired with others so they can find the same happiness I have from physical activity.
What drives you?
I am driven by a desire to help others live a happy and healthy lifestyle. I believe being physically active can help people overcome even the most daunting of obstacles. Whether these obstacles occur out in the physical world, in the workplace, or in one’s mind, being in tune with your body can be hugely beneficial in achieving the most challenging of goals. If I can help even one person overcome whatever her or his obstacle may be, and live a better life because of it, then I have done my job as a trainer.
What can people expect when they come to your class?
People can expect a workout that will challenge them from start to finish. The routines that I incorporate into my classes are based on functional human movements. My workouts are ultimately designed to help people move more efficiently and gracefully through everyday life. I promise to give each and every person in my class the individual attention she or he needs to get the most out of the workout, and in return all I ask is that my athletes hold their heads high, and keep working to the best of their abilities even when it gets tough.
